“Nassar Labs” was the official beginning of Alexandria company, started as a small facility under this famous name that was manufacturing some popular pharmaceutical products that were commonly used at that time, besides, manufacturing of some foreign drugs through contract manufacturing and private agreements, till its management was entirely transferred under the command of the Egyptian government.
Since then, Alexandria Pharmaceutical Company was re-established in 1962, at its current headquarters, undergone a complete renovation and development of the entire production lines to double its capacity and to be able to develop many of the pharmaceutical products, veterinary products and some medical supplies.
Alexandria now is an Egyptian owned state – joint venture Company, as 60% of its shares is owned by Drug Holding Company (Holdipharma), and 40% of the shares are divided between the share holders and the company’s workers.
Alexandria Co. acquired its good reputation and its recognized position through the aid of its pioneered leaders since its nationalization till now. Those leaders are confirmed with establishing a comprehensive concept of quality in accordance to the global requirements of current Good Manufacturing Practice “GMP” and contributed professionally to elevate the employees’ performance and to assess the quality for the outstanding production, hence; the company was able to achieve its remarkable position, and to export its products to many Arab and African countries, besides spotting a light of privilege for some multinational companies to contract manufacture their products “Under license” on the company’s facility lines.
The company is specialized in manufacturing of anesthesia carpools used for teeth surgical operations, as well as its exclusive production for medical supplies such as (surgical gloves, sterile gauze, medical adhesives, bandages and sterile medical appliances specially used in surgical operations) in accordance to the latest international specifications.
The company owns a specialized sterile production line for manufacturing of sterile drops alongside owing of production lines for most of the pharmaceutical dosage forms that manufacture a group of pharmaceutical products with high safety, quality and affordable price.
